Data Ownership
You retain all rights, title, and interest in the data you submit to FastCork. This includes wine label images, search queries, and chat messages. FastCork does not claim any ownership over your data.
No Data Sharing or Selling
We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties. Your data is never monetized through sales to advertisers or data brokers. It is used exclusively to process your API requests and return results.
No Training on Your Data
Data submitted by paying customers is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning models — internally or externally. Your wine label images, queries, and conversations remain private and are not incorporated into our training pipeline.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service:
- Wine label images: processed in memory and not stored after the response is returned
- Chat sessions: retained for the duration of the session to enable multi-turn conversation, then deleted
- Usage logs: aggregated request counts retained for billing purposes
- Account data: retained while your account is active. After cancellation, account data is deleted within 30 days unless legal requirements mandate longer retention
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All API traffic is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS only)
- API keys are stored as cryptographic hashes, never in plaintext
- Infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global edge network with built-in DDoS protection
- Access to production systems is restricted and audited
Regulatory Compliance
We respect data privacy regulations applicable to our users:
- GDPR: EU residents have the right to access, correct, export, or delete their personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- CCPA: California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion.
