Service Usage

The FastCork API provides wine label recognition, semantic wine search, and AI sommelier chat. Permitted uses include wine cellar management, e-commerce product enrichment, hospitality applications, educational research, and personal wine exploration.

Prohibited uses: medical or health diagnosis, illegal activities, submitting content unrelated to wine or food, reverse-engineering or scraping the underlying model, and reselling raw API responses as a competing service.

API Usage Limits

Pay-as-you-go accounts start with $5 prepaid credit at $0.003 per request. Monthly accounts include 10,000 requests per billing cycle with overage at $0.003 per request. Exceeding limits may result in temporary service interruption until additional credit is applied or the next billing cycle begins.

We reserve the right to rate-limit or suspend accounts that generate excessive load, automated abuse, or patterns inconsistent with legitimate use.

Payment Terms

Billing is handled via Stripe. Pay-as-you-go accounts are billed for metered usage after prepaid credit is consumed. Monthly accounts are billed at the start of each cycle. We do not offer refunds for unused service. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Accuracy Disclaimer

FastCork provides AI-generated estimates based on image analysis and trained wine data. Results may differ from authoritative sources. The service is not suitable for allergen detection, medical dietary compliance, wine authentication or fraud detection, or investment decisions.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but provide no guarantees regarding the completeness or correctness of any response.

Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, upstream provider issues, or force majeure events may cause temporary downtime. Current system status is available at fastcork.com/status.

Intellectual Property

API responses generated for your requests are yours to use in your applications. The FastCork brand, documentation, and underlying model remain our intellectual property. You may not use the FastCork name or logo to imply endorsement without written permission.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or fail to pay outstanding invoices. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the dashboard or by contacting support.

Updates to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
